We are taking an end of the year recess until 01/10/2025. Happy Holidays!
All over the world!
We build our sound sculptures from our studio located in the bucolic village of Lumiar / Rio de Janeiro.
You can pay through Wise / Wire transfer to get 5% discount on all orders, we also accept credit card and payment through Paypal.
By turning the pegs clockwise, we can add tension to the strings that support the tubes, so that the tubes do not touch each other or their respective strings. The optimal tension point is such that the tubes still oscillate when played, but do not oscillate so much that they touch each other.
To clean the tubes, you can apply a soft cloth with alcohol / aluminium cleaning products ( do not apply directly to tubes, apply small quantities to cloth) to clean the aluminium surface.
After 1 to 2 years, you can reapply some oil for wood (Peroba oil or varnish are a good option) to the wooden structure. After applying the oil, let it dry in the shade for 24 to 36 hours.
Any contact with humidity should be avoided, as well as intense heat (avoid leaving it exposed to hot sunlight for long periods).
When placing your order, you can indicate whether you want your instrument tuned to 440hz (standard tuning) or 432hz.
Arkana comes in pre-defined scales and does not get out of tune.
Avoid bumping and contact with rough or very dense surfaces (such as other metals), as this may scratch the piece.
Cleaning can be done with a soft cloth and a little alcohol/aluminium cleaner ( do not apply directly to the piece, apply a little to the cloth).
After cleaning, apply automotive wax to the surface of the instrument, let it dry for 10 minutes and remove excess.
Please contact us at info@somnisounds.com to inform us of the 432hz Calix you want, and we will periodically prepare special orders for Calix in this tuning.
